Denpasar ,TNI terpol.com | – Kodam IX/Udayana held a Ceremony of Military Police Operations “Waspada Wira Tombak” and Military Police Judicial Operations “Citra Wira Tombak” Kodam IX/Udayana TA. 2023, which was held at Makorem 163/WSA Field, Denpasar City, on Wednesday (8/3/2023).
The ceremony led by Kasdam IX/Udayana Brigadier General Sachono, S.H., M.Sc., carried the theme “With Gaktib Operations and Yustisi Operations FY. 2023, Military Police are Ready to Improve Law Obedience, Discipline and Order of Soldiers, to Become Patriots of the Republic Indonesia, In the Context of Supporting National Development”.
In the mandate of the TNI Commander read by Kasdam, it was stated that in accordance with the TNI’s vision and mission in creating professional, modern and tough TNI soldiers, the TNI Military Police carries out the functions of the Military Police, including law enforcement, order and discipline for soldiers and TNI civil servants through deployment of law and order enforcement operations.
“Based on the data from the 2022 Military Police Operational Gaktib and Yustisi Report, the cases that stand out are violations of discipline and order, as well as desertion crimes which have increased from the previous year. This is also a consideration to continue to make the Gaktib and Yustisi Operations one of the priorities. in training personnel within the TNI,” said the TNI Commander.
The TNI Commander further stated that the target of implementing the Gaktib and Yustisi Operations this year is to improve discipline, order and legal compliance of all TNI soldiers, both in service and in daily life. Apart from that, it also takes action against TNI soldiers who violate the law, discipline and order wherever they are. The most important thing is to prevent the arrogance of TNI soldiers from undermining the dignity and image of the TNI.
“The implementation of the Military Police Force Operations and Judicial Operations for the TNI will be carried out throughout 2023. They will be carried out both in the form of independent operations and joint operations, in accordance with their respective jurisdictions,” said the TNI Commander.
Ahead of the 2024 simultaneous elections and local elections, the TNI Commander emphasized that all TNI soldiers should remain neutral and not be dragged into political polarization. Likewise with the development of technology and the high use of social media, this requires TNI Military Police soldiers to be able to adapt to developments in information technology, in order to prevent and take action against attempts at Information and Electronic Transaction crimes that can create a negative image of the TNI.
Concluding his message, the TNI Commander emphasized to all TNI soldiers, especially the TNI Military Police, to increase their faith and piety to God Almighty and uphold the Sapta Marga, Soldier’s Oath and the Eight Compulsory TNI as the basis for carrying out their duties. Must be the best example of obedience to the law and be the best model and figure of a soldier’s discipline. The presence of TNI Military Police soldiers is not to be feared, but rather wanted and sought after.
“In addition, TNI Military Police soldiers must thoroughly master the duties, authorities and responsibilities as well as procedures for carrying out operations with a focus on the goals to be achieved. Must be able to master and take advantage of technological and information developments to support the implementation of tasks. Then, maintain a good name TNI and strengthen synergy and solidity with other law enforcement officials for the successful implementation of this tactical operation and judicial operation,” he concluded.
